2024/2025 Tryouts
We are always looking for dedicated soccer players who are committed to the sport and striving for excellence. Your child's experience with our club promises growth and maturity. Our club not only provides professional coaching but also offers teams the chance to compete at the highest level.
At RUFC, player development takes precedence. Our highly qualified coaches share your desire to win, and we achieve this by adhering to our Club model: Develop, Compete, Succeed.
- Tryouts for the Fall season occur in late March - early April for our U8-U14 teams.
- Tryouts for the Winter and Spring High School season takes place in November for U15-U18 teams.
If you are considering a premier soccer club outside of the tryout timeframes, please email info@revolutionunitedfc and we will set up an evaluation appointment.
Considering a Club? Questions to ask yourself when exploring a Club:
- Club Culture - Is the club family-oriented or focused only on soccer and success? What does success look like to them?
- Club Philosophy - What do they stand for and does it align with what you're looking for. More importantly, do you see that put into action?
- Coaches - How much Coaching experience does the coaching staff have? From where?
- Coach / Player Relationship - How interested is the Coach in your player? What's their relationship with other players? Does the Coach know more about the player off the field vs on the field?
- Communication - In speaking with current club members, what is the level of communication between the Club and parents and how important is that to you?
- Location - Are practices within a reasonable travel distance? Decide how long you are willing to travel on a weekly basis for practice?
- Player Commitment / Travel Expectations - Most clubs practice 2-3 days per week with a game on weekend. Depending on the League, some games can be out of state.
- Player Goals - What are you and your player looking for in a club? Individual player development? Winning at all costs?
- Player Resources - Does the club offer other resources or opportunities for your player to help development them?
- Reputation - How do players and coaches conduct themselves during games? This behavior is a reflection of the club and how they handle themselves.
